The 5 W's of Information Source Evaluation

Some basic questions you should ask when evaluating a website source:
WHO is the author of the page? Is the author an expert?
WHAT is the purpose of the information provided? Does the information seem like fact or an opinion? What is the domain?
WHEN was the information created?
WHERE does the information come from? WHERE can I look to find out more about the author?
WHY is this information useful?  WHY should I use this information?

Credible - One Key for Credibility is the Domain URL
.edu is for a school, college, or university
.gov is for a government agency

Check Carefully - These Domain URL's Can Go Either Way
.com is for a business that may be trying to sell you something
.org is for an organization of any type
Wikis & Blogs - can be biased
