From Learning Ally: Students who qualify may have an IEP or 504 plan, but those are not requirements. It is up to the individual teacher to determine a student’s eligibility. If a teacher determines that a student is not able to keep up with grade-level reading, because they are struggling for whatever reason, then the student qualifies for Learning Ally.
